Tutorial Services
Tutorial services are provided either free-of-charge or on a fee-for-service basis to help students succeed in their professional courses. Tutoring is offered individually or in small group sessions to enhance a student's learning. Tutoring is not provided as a substitute for a student's fulfillment of academic responsibilities such as proof reading or researching. Students concerned about their academic performance may request tutoring through their professor, program director or requests can be made directly by contacting the Office of Student Services at 973-972-7939 or 973-972-5039.
Peer Tutoring
Students concerned about their academic performance are advised to discuss their concerns with the course instructor. The course instructor may recommend additional help by way of peer tutoring. Tutorial sessions with Peer Tutors may be assigned by the Director of Student Services in consultation with professors and program directors.
Professional Tutoring
Professional tutoring may be provided by credentialed health care practitioners, graduate students in the appropriate discipline and medical and dental students familiar with the course material.
